Things you forgot to clean that might be grossing out your guests

The house is full of guests, and it's a mess! You clean up the house, vacuum, and scrub the floors. You call your children and husband to get rid of those stinky socks. You clean the countertops and the toilets. You also cleaned the windows, and then you took the fuzzy thing out and flinched at the cobwebs. You then hide all leftovers in your bedroom.

You're doing great! Hmm, maybe not...

You may not be able to see the grossest spots, especially if you have pets or children. It is easy to get tunnel vision in our own homes. It's easy to live with it every day, and sometimes it's difficult to not pay attention. You might miss some, even if you do spring cleaning.

1. The Guest Bathroom Must Sparkle

Okay, so you cleaned the bowl, and you also wiped down the counter. But, did you clean under the seat? What about the area between the tank and the seat? What about that gold mine of unmentionable goodies in the area behind the toilet's back?

Now, take a seat on the toilet as if you were a guest. Now, look down. What can you see? Are the baseboards in good condition? Are the corners of your floors clean? Clorox wipes can be used to disinfect the floors.

Go wash your hands and then look at the mirror. Is there toothpaste or water spots? We have wiped out many mirrors in the bathrooms of other people. You will always want to leave a place cleaner than it was when you found it.

It is essential to clean the guest bathroom. It's easy to forget about other things if the bathroom is well-stocked and clean.

2. Doors, Door Handles, and Light Switches are Very Commonly Forgotten

Rarely will you find items that are clean when you enter a home with small children. Take a look at the light switches you use most often right now.

Are you shocked? When you clean yours, we are too. The same goes for the handles. Start at the front door. Wipe down all door handles on both sides. The ones in the kitchen are often the most problematic.

The fridge handle and kitchen cabinet doors are also affected. They can get gritty and greasy. Take 10 minutes to clean the cabinets if guests will be in your kitchen.

3. Did You Clean the Walls

Even if you don't have children or pets, there is likely a wall that people hold onto while turning it into a hallway. You may be shocked to see the disgusting handprints on it when you look closely. Use a magic eraser to make them disappear.
